What is the exact version number of this firmware?
I got one to fix my Mag 256 audio issue but didn't fix it.
Mine is dated Jan 2017

This firmware is much better than previous ones. Really a lot of things fixed but still there is work to be done. Functionalities not working after upgrade:

- Button for switch of last two watched channels still doesn't work
- Navigation (up, down, left, right) in Infomir apps portal (http://apps.infomir.com.ua/?language=en) still doesn't work
- I still have problems connecting external hard drive. The MAG just doesn't recognize it.

Speeder, have you tried doing the factory resets? Two options in the settings menu and also the bios?

The arrow keys work fine for me (always have) in the MAG extra apps portal (that you posted) - you aren't missing much tho.

If anyone us trying to watch TEDtalks in HD, you need to ENABLE subtitles (lol). Its weird.

As for the hard drive, make sure its a 2.5 inch one, OR if you have a 3.5, make sure it has its own power cord and doesn't draw the power through USB. You likely need to format it as FAT32 or something Linux based like ext2/3/4. I would try making a new partition table (msdos format) with Easeus Partition program (if on windows), or GPARTED (Linux).

My USB sticks work fine in the mag. It sees them and I can watch stuff from them. Haven't tried recording with the new firmware, but most portals don't permit that.

Cheers

THIS FIRMWARE IS NO LONGER NEEDED. Infomir has released a new update on their regular update server. Simply update your box through the system menu to get the update. Then follow the reset procedure played out in my thread (a7.10 firmware beta thread).

See new version number here:
http://thenapster.info/showthread.php?t=1925

Cheers!
